Charting Legal Pathways for Land and Community
Law office offering accessible legal support for Indigenous communities, organizations, and allies navigating navigating land acquisition, stewardship, and conservation.

Our Story
Many Rivers Law provides legal support for Indigenous communities, Indigenous-led organizations, and tribal nations seeking to acquire, protect, and steward land.

The practice serves Indigenous peoples in all their forms: federally recognized tribal governments, Native communities outside of tribal jurisdiction, non-federally recognized communities, grassroots groups, and organizations supporting Indigenous sovereignty. Services center on land acquisition and stewardship, with additional support for environmental justice advocacy, organizational development, and data governance consultation.

The firm offers limited scope engagements designed for specific projects such as creating legal frameworks for land acquisition, supporting land-back initiatives, drafting conservation easements and stewardship agreements, forming land-holding entities, advocating for environmental justice, or consulting on data governance policies.

Our practice operates on a sliding scale based on organizational capacity, with a strong commitment to pro bono work for community-based organizations. These flexible engagements provide access to legal support without expensive ongoing retainers.
